Cubao is a very busy district in Metro Manila. It's a very central place and as a result an estimated 1 million people pass through everyday.

Cubao is also a place of great contrast. On the one hand it is a very commercial area with massive shopping malls and large Western style supermarkets. There are top class restaurants and entertainment for those who have money.

But hidden behind the scenes it is a place of enormous poverty. Thousands are living in small shacks in slums areas. And hundreds and hundreds sleep rough on pieces of cardboard each night.
